5.6. Headstand

The headstand is an inverted posture and the base of support is the top of the skull.

Follow these steps to perform the headstand:

1. Kneel down.
2. Put your forearms on the mat and create an inverted V from your hands to your elbows.
3. Place your forehead where your hands were and lift your hips.
4. Keeping your balance, lift your legs progressively.
5. Your head, back and legs should be in one line.
