The shoulder stand or candle is an inverted posture and the base of support is the upper back.
Follow these steps to perform the shoulder stand or candle:
1. Lie down on the mat facing up. Join and stretch both your legs.
2. Lift your hips with your legs stretched. Hips, shoulders and legs should be in one line.
3. Use your hands to support your lower back.
4. Chin and chest should NOT touch.
5. Breathe normally.
6. If you want to, leave your legs behind your head trying to touch the floor.
