What is fitness?

Fitness is defined as the quality or state of being fit, more specifically, the ability to perform sports, occupations and daily activities.

Fitness is a combination of different physical skills.

The basics are:

  • Stamina or endurance.
  • Flexibility.
  • Strength.
  • Speed.

What is fitness testing?

A fitness assessment is comprised of several exercises that help evaluate your overall health and physical condition.

There are several standardized tests used for this purpose.

These tests are considered the starting point for designing an appropriate exercise program.
