3.5.2. The 10x5 metre shuttle test

The 10x5 metre shuttle test measures your speed and agility.

Follow these steps to perform the 10x5 metre sprint test:

  1. You need marker cones and/or lines five metres apart.
  2. Warm up by jogging on the spot. Then get ready at the start line.
  3. When the teachers says “GO”, sprint as fast as you can to the end line and back. Both feet must cross both lines. This is one cycle.
  4. Do five cycles, turning as fast as you can each time.
  5. Your total time is recorded in seconds.
