3.2. Stamina or endurance: Definition

Stamina or endurance is the ability of a person to keep active for a long period of time depending on the type of the activity.

Stamina or endurance allows you to go on doing exercise much longer without getting tired. For exemple, run or swim for a long time and then come back to your daily routine without feeling tired.

There are two types of stamina or endurance:

  1. Aerobic stamina or endurance.
  2. Anaerobic stamina or endurance.

  • Moderate intensity.
  • There is no lack of oxygen.
  • Energy runs out in hours or days.
  • Short term.

  • Energy runs out in seconds.
