3.2.2. The Cooper test

This test requires you to run as far as possible in 12 minutes.

Follow these steps to perform this test:

  1. Measure your pulse before the test.
  2. Warm up for 10 minutes.
  3. Start running when the teacher says“GO”.
  4. Listen to the teacher telling you how long it takes you to run each lap.
  5. Stop running when the teacher blows the whistle, after 12 minutes.
  6. Measure your pulse as soon as you finish the test.
  7. Rest for 2 minutes and measure your pulse again.
  8. Stretch for 5 minutes.
  9. Finally, record the distance and your pulse before running, after running and after resting for 2 minutes.
