For the circuit in the figure, calculate :

a) Equivalent resistance to R 1 and R 2 (in series): R 12 = R 1 + R 2 = 2 + 3 = 5 Ω
Equivalent resistance to R 12 and R 3 (in parallel): 1/R = 1/R 12 + 1/R 3 = 1/5 + 1/5 = 0.4 /Ω
R = 1/0.4 = 2.5 Ω
b) I = V/R = 12/2,5 = 4,8 A
c) I 3 = V/R 3 = 12/5 = 2.4 A
I1 = I2 = V/R12 = 12/5 = 2,4 A
