Follow these steps to do this task:

  1. Listen to the recordings below.
  2. Read the descripcion of each type of asanas.
  3. Decide which type of asanas is being explained.
  4. Write down the letter (A - F) to identify the type of asanas that is being explained in the small boxes.
A. They are powerful postures in which muscle tone is created and for which precise alignment is essential 1. 
B. These postures reverse the effects of gravity and strenghthen the upper body. 2. 
C. These postures are very effective at opening the upper back, chest, shoulders and front groin, and they help improve spinal flexibility 3. 
D. These postures open the entire backside of the body, stretching the hamstrings, gluteus and lower back 4. 
E. These challenging postures strenghten your body, especially your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and abdominal core 5. 
F. These are the basic types of asanas in yoga. They help you improve your leg’s power, strenght and stability 6. 
G. These postures are generally calming, although some produce significant opening of the hip and require greater effort. They are called meditation postures too 7. 
H. These postures are generally done as a cool down at the end of a practice. They reduce fatigue and stretch the lower back and legs 8.
