The German composer Carl Orff ( -1982) developed a method to teach music which combines , dancing, and using instruments and , melody and improvisation. He had the idea of creating a positive, fun and atmosphere in the classroom. Students use , marimbas, glockenspiels, metallophones, drums, and non-pitched instruments as well as their fingers, patting and clapping.
