7.8. The free shot

These are some aspects to know about the free shot in floorball:

  • It is taken from where the fault was made.
  • The rest of the players should stand 3 metres away minimum.
  • A goal cannot be scored from the player with the free shot.
  • If the fault is made in front of the goal line, then the free shot is taken from a continuation of this line, 1.5 metres from the closest side of the court.
  • It must be taken from a minimum of 3 metres from the goal area. In this case, there can be a barrier formed by the opposing team.
