A floorball court has to be twice as long as it is wide.
The typical court or field for floorball is 40 by 20 metres.
However, if you need to play somewhere that isn’t that exact size, just make sure the proportions are correct. For example, 30 by 15 metres.
Take these caractheristics into account:
- The court has a goal in the middle of each end of the court.
- Goals are 160 by 115 centimetres but they could be smaller.
- Goals do not touch the end of the court, so players can play behind the goals. Normally there are 2.50 to 3.50 metres from the end of the nearest boards.
- The goalkeeping area is also marked around the goals.
- Face-off dots are marked on the center line.
- Dots are also marked 1.5 metres from both sides of the court on the goal imaginary extension lines. These are for faults committed inside the goalkeeping area.
