The right to vote
On march 8th we celebrate International Women's Day because women haven’t received the same rights as men in history. The celebration of this day started in New York City in 1908, when women wanted to vote and the same job conditions as men. In the past, women couldn’t study the same as men, they had to stay at home with their children and they had a very difficult life. Women worked doing the same things as men, but they earn less money! In some countries women can't do some jobs because they are men's jobs. In other countries women can't divorce and they suffer from violence. In some places girls can't go to school because they have to stay home and take care of their family. Do you think this is fair? In this section we are going to learn more about the role of women in history.
