WRITING: Describing a classmate

Now that you are familiar with vocabulary about appearance and things we wear and with the present continuous tense, you are ready to describe what one of your classmates looks like and what he/she is doing now.

The teacher will give you a one of your classmates’ names at random. Write a text describing him or her and include information about:

• His/her physical appearance
• The things he/she is wearing
• What he/she is doing

Word limit: 80-120 words.

Share your description with your teacher. Once you get feedback from him/her, you will be reading to do the guessing game included on the next page.
