Although Impressionism was mostly a painting movement, some sculptors were also influenced by this style as the French sculptress Camille Claudel (1864-1943).
This French sculptress with a great talent was one of the most important artists in the late 19th century who explored new forms of sculpture creation. Unfortunately, her turbulent life attracted more people´s attention than her work.
Her intense and difficult relation with the famous sculptor Rodin (1840-1917) as partners in artistic creation and lovers shaded the vision over her personal career.
