Some of the prizes it got are two Grammy Awards, a Billboard Music Award and an American Music Award. His performance of the song on TV included the world-wide imitated moonwalk, a single crystal shining glove, high water trousers, a fedora hat and a black jacket. His performance was considered the sixth greatest rock&roll TV moment.
