Melodic reading practice and Orff instruments
Orff instruments
If you look around the classroom, you'll probably see some instruments as the ones in the picture: xylophones, glockenspiels, metallophones, marimbas, drums, rattles, clapsticks, triangles, finger cymbals, tambourines, etc. They are called Orff instruments due to the German composer Carl Orff (1895-1982), who used them to teach music with a friendly approach which may help students feel comfortable while learning music. Look at the pictures and learn their names.
