Hand-clap games are a type of traditional game, usually cooperative, that involve two or more people clapping their hands to a rhyming chant. Sometimes they involve touching some parts of the body with your hands or even using objects.
In this lesson you will learn and play some of them.
Before Anna Kendrick’s song “Cups”, there was the cup game. It is a type of hand game played with cups. It includes the same rhythm as in the song, but it is a competitive game played in group. Each person plays the rhythm and passes down the cup to the next player. If you lose the rhythm at your turn, you’re out!
Watch the following video and try to imitate it with your group.
