Some words help us to express the duration of some action.

a) For (durante):

I studied English for two hours. (= Estudei inglés durante dúas horas).


b) Since (desde):

I study English since I was eight years old.  (= Estudo inglés desde que tiña oito anos)



c) Ago (hai):

I studied English two years ago. (=Estudei inglés hai dous anos). 

DURATION:
