I a that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all are created equal."

I a that one on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the of brotherhood.

I a that my little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I a today!

I a that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it ."

Now in your groups you have to represent one of the dreams the speech points out.

  • No matter if you are poor or rich, big or small or your country, we are all equal: people.
  • Racism will be eradicated: the colour of the skin doesn´t matter.
  • You will be judged only for your character not your body or appearance.
  • All the people in the world understand and respect rights.

The representation in posters will be part of an exposition we will do on human rights, so do your best.

Your BIG dream

It is time for you to dream about how to improve a social problem.

Follow these friendly steps and accomplish the mission:

  • Let's write 3 social problems in pairs.
  • Then, think of a way to solve it each of the problems.
  • Agree or vote for the best idea in your group.

You will create an eye-catching poster of the initiative. Be creative.

The posters you create will be displayed in the school all together with the representation of Dr. Luther King´s dreams you made.
