Take a look at the following sentences from the Learning Chocolate tutorial, how many ways of giving instructions can you identify? Tell your partner.

The imperative (same form of the infinitive, no subject preceding the verb)

There is a second way of giving instructions:

We/you need to+ infinitive

You need to drag and drop the icon to the corresponding word

You are going to read a text that explains how to capture screenshots on a PC. Fill in the gaps with the corresponding for of the verb in brackets.

If you need (take) a screenshot, (press) the CTRL+PrtScn keys at the same time. Then, you need to (open) an image editing program like Paint and click PASTE. The image will appear; you need (click) SAVE AS and save it in .JPG format.
