A Plan to move

Your goal in this phase will be to develop a Plan to increase daily physical activity, reducing downtime (television, mobile phone, etc.) and motorized travel.

You have to develop the Plan, and you must commit yourselves to put it into practice, for an agreed period of time.

Let's make a plan

How is a Physical Activity Plan (PAP) developed?

  • Your Physical Activity Plan will be like a calendar, in which you will write down the activities planned for each day of the week, from Monday to Sunday (during the weekends you must also move).
  • The Plan will contain at least three activities of moderate intensity and three activities of vigorous intensity.
  • When you put it into practice, you will have to time the actual duration of each activity and then enter that information in the table of the Plan, in the cell corresponding to that day.

By way of example, you can take as a guide this model to make your Plan. You can do it in a spreadsheet, with the program LibreOffice Calc, or in Google Drive.

Task

Develop a Plan and put it into practice:

  • Each team prepares a PAP (Physical Activity Plan) in a shared spreadsheet in Google Drive.
  • In the PAP will be counted the minutes provided for each of the activities that are intended.
  • All team members will implement the PAP for two weeks. Each day, they will write down the actual minutes they dedicated to each of the physical activities provided for in the PAP.
  • At the end of the period, the results of each team will be evaluated. The team whose real results are closest to those expected will win. The results of all the teams will be announced, in a final act in the classroom of "awards".

Assessment of the task

To evaluate the task, the following rubrics will be used:

Read them carefully before starting the work and check at the end if you meet the requirements contained therein.
