Task 2. Woven Op Art

In this activity, you will create your own piece of woven Op Art. Remember to follow the steps:

  1. Fold the paper in half.
  2. Draw a line in the open side of the paper. You will cut to (NOT pass) this line.
  3. With the pencil, trace the design of your cuts: straight lines, curved, wavy, zigzag...
  4. Cut the paper and unfold it. Now, you have your paper loom.
  5. Cut strips of paper to weave into your loom. The strips don't need to be identical, you can cut them wavy, different sizes... Just make sure you weave them in the same order that you cut them before.
  6. Remember: wave the strips over-under-over-under. The second strip goes OPPOSITE the first one (under-over-under-over), and so on.
