Getting started

Did you know?

Emojis originated in Japan.

The word is a combination of two japanese words: "e", meaning picture and "moji", meaning letter. So, emoji literally means "picture letter" in English!

Task 1. Pop art emoji

We are going to create a Pop art emoji, using lines and patterns as we learnt before.

  • First of all, you need to download the worsheet.
  • You will find a square divided with lines. In that square, you have to draw an emoji. Make it big, filling as much space as you can.
  • Then, draw different patterns in the sectors. Try to fill, at least, ten sectors of the drawing. You can use the suggested patterns or create your own.
  • Complete your pop art design colouring all the spaces and cutting out the square.
  • Don't forget to take a photo and upload it.
