Task 1. Shape explosion
- Duración:
- 40 min
- Agrupamento:
- One person
For this activity we are going to use mixed media: carboard and paint for the shapes and newsprint for the background.
Shapes:
- Draw the vanishing point in the center of the paper.
- Trace 5 - 7 shapes (triangle, square, heart, star...) of assorted sizes around the vanishing point.
- Using a ruler, connect the corners of each shape with the vanishing point.
- Paint the vanishing sides of the shapes (not the shapes!) and outline with black permanent marker.

- Cut off the resulting shape.
Background
- Tear a newsprint into pieces and paste the pieces in a sheet.
- Paste the shapes in the sheet away from the center, leaving some of the shapes out of the sheet.
Once you have finished, take a photo and upload it.
Remember what you've learnt before by trying any of these tips:
- Paint the shapes in monochrome using tints and shades of a single colour.
- Choose one colour for each shape, using different tones for each side.
- Draw a pattern of lines to give the shapes different textures.
