Lines and more

How can I use lines?

To create volume and layers

Vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines in a drawing can represent depth in a landscape.

Curved lines can create an illusion of volume.

To create texture

Different types of lines create different textures in a drawing.

For example: using spirals to make the wool of a sheep or the roses in these Paul Klee's paintings.
