Socrates is a talking dog. Better yet he is a dog that thinks. A dog philosopher, if you want. He loves to say things in a complicated way. Like this example: “this sense of reality to take you into the abyss deliver as little as possible is really exhilarating.” That is a champion dog! At the beginning of the book, he presents himself as a “half-dog.” Normal: he is the creature of Heracles, the son of Zeus. So, as Hercules is a demigod, Socrates is a half-dog.
