Chickenpox. A Chickenpox is an infection caused by a virus. It is not so serious in children, although it is a very contagious disease. It can cause serious consequences in some people, either teenagers or adults.
It is a common infection during childhood . Pink pimples appear on the skin, which quickly turn into small blisters filled with fluid that itch intensely.
After four or five days, the blisters dry up and become crusty. For a few days, the injuries appear in waves in successive outbreaks; for that reason, the same patient may present at the same time injuries in different phases: pimples, blisters and scabs.
Chickenpox usually lasts one to two weeks and can cause fever and discomfort. Before the vaccine became available, almost everyone had suffered from it during childhood.
