EUROPE:
Europe is the Earth's sixth largest continent but it has one quarter of the planet's population. Currently, there are 44 european countries.
Europe is entirely on the Northern hemisphere. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Europe is separated from Africa by the Mediterranean Sea and from Asia by the Ural Mountains.
The climate in Europe goes from the cold winters in Sweden, Norway and Finland, to warm areas in the south in countries such as Spain and Italy.
Europe, in particular Italy and ancient Greece, was considered the birthplace of Western civilization.
