AFRICA:
Africa is the second largest continent after Asia. It is the continent with the most countries (a total of 54 countries).
It lies between the Atlantic and the Indian Ocenas. To the North is the Mediterranean Sea, and to the South is the Southern Ocean which separates Africa from the Antarctica.
Africa is the hottest continent and home of the world's largest desert, the Sahara, occupying the 25% of the total area of Africa. It is also home to the longest river on Earth, the river Nile, with 6,853 km. It rises south of the Equator and flows northward through northeastern Africa to drain into the Mediterranean Sea.
The oldest human fossils, for example skeletons and skulls have been discovered in Africa; that's the reason why the continent is also called 'cradle of humankind'.
