Project: Sending and receiving postcards in English

Now that you have written a postcard in English, why not send it to real people around the world? It's very easy!! Your teacher simply needs to create a collective account in Postcrossing and assign you a postcard to be sent somewhere in the world! Be ready to receive many postcards!!

You should follow these steps:

Step 1

Go to Postcrossing.com. Click SIGN UP.

Step 2

Your teacher should fill out the form with a username, email address, password and, VERY IMPORTANTLY, your school postal address because this is the address to which postcards will be sent. Click SIGN ME UP.

Step 4

In groups of 4, for instance, write one postcard and send it to the address. Don't forget to add the ID code starting by ES-

Check the school mail daily! In a few weeks you will receive a postcard from a random place!

Once you get a postcard, register it by clicking REGISTER and enter the postcard ID written on it. You can also write the sender an online message to say Thank you!

Step 5

What if the postcards do not arrive or are not registered?

This is not common. But, if your postcard is not registered after 60 days of being requested, it is set to expired in the system. Every time one of your postcards expire, you get back a free "slot" so that you can send a new postcard.

The more postcards send, the more postcards you will receive! Happy Postcrossing!
